SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

The NY-Penn League Charitable Foundation Scholarships - These scholarships are affiliated with the State College Spikes organization.  Three one-time scholarships ($2,500 each) will be awarded to a graduating senior from a public or private high school.  The award is based on financial need, academic performance and other criteria.  The applicant should be involved in community service and be able to provide references, transcripts, and a copy of their acceptance letter.  Application deadline is June 30, 2010.
 
University of Pittsburgh Balanced Man Scholarship - This scholarship is available to male students entering their freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh.  Student must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills, and commit to health and well-being.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office or online at http://www.pittsigep.com/bmp/scholarship.php   Deadline to apply is June 20, 2010.
 
Private Industry Council of the Central Corridor (PICCC) is offering a two week, high impact summer youth career development program for youth ages 14 to 17.  This Blueprint For Success Program will run from July 19 to July 30.  There is a $50 registration fee.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office or email blueprint@piccc.org for more information.
 
 
Financial Aid - Students may apply online for federal financial aid after Jan 1st at www.fafsa.ed.gov
