OME throw pies and raises $740.69 for Clear-Centre pool
It's one thing to put money in a jar for a good cause. It's another to put money in a jar for a good cause -- and have a say who should get pied in the face at your school.
OME students did just that during the latest fundraiser. Students helped raise $740.69 for Clear-Centre pool by donating to vote on which teachers should get pied in the face. Principal Mrs. Smutz, who sported shades to deflect the whipped cream, was targeted by default -- she didn't have a choice.
Pie victims were fourth grade teachers Jennifer Ibberson, Brandon McCliment and Marisa Thompson and first grade teacher Erika Richardson. More OME teachers participated by donating to the cause by paying money to dress down.
Pie-throwing took place on June 5 during the Field Day at the pool.
