Weaver Home Run Celebration PO 2 - Clearfield 1 Ryan Kephart hits a triple. Ryan Whitehead throws a pitch versus Huntingdon. Chapman wins opening match Halle Herrington takes over Centre County scoring lead. 2000! In the 4th annual Takedown for Cancer Match between PO and Clearfield, PO won the first five bouts in a convincing 53-19 win. Gymnasium Jumping Up and Down The Boy's Basketball team fell to visiting Clearfield on 12/17/18. The Mountaineers fall to 1-3 on the season and host BEA next. PO 63 - WB 47

The Philipsburg-Osceola Athletic Department has teamed with Squad Locker to open a brand new team store. The store will be open year round and is stocked with P-O apparel for every season. The store includes shirts, performance gear, polos, shorts, sweatpants, hats, accessories, bags, and much more. All proceeds will benefit athletic facility improvements. PO 13 - Huntingdon 0

 On Tuesday, The Lady Mountie Softball team traveled to Huntingdon and won 13-0. Kam Harris and Kylie Adams combined to no-hit the home team over 6 innings. The Lady Mounties pounded out 16 hits in the win. During the game, Harris was 3 for 3 with two home runs and four RBIs. Her three hits entered her in to the program's elite 100-hit club. She also passed alum Maggie Peck as the career leader in home runs during the contest.

Congratulations to our Mountaineer Boy's Basketball Progressland All-Stars for the 2018-2019 season. Ryan Whitehead earned a first team selection and teammate Carson Jones was selected for the second team honor. The full team and highlights are found in the link below.

Spring Sports Week in Review

Mountie Softball beat Huntingdon 10-2 on Thursday behind a stellar pitching effort by Kylie Adams. The Mountaineer Baseball team used a 4 run 7th inning to come back against Penns Valley and eventually win in the 10th inning. They also traveled to Huntingdon and won 10-5. The Girl's Track and Field Team dropped meets against Penns Valley, BEA, and West Branch, but did earn the victory over St. Joseph's. The Boy's Track and Field team was swept by BEA and Penns Valley at their tri-meet early in the week, but rebounded to sweep St. Joseph's and West Branch on Thursday. Philipsburg-Osceola alum Jon Condo was the guest speaker at this year's National Football Foundation's banquet. Condo spoke to over 50 football player's including 5 from Centre County. Bubba Slogosky was in attendance from P-O. Slogosky was among a group of players nominated for this year's scholarship.

Halle Herrington: 2000 Career Points

On January 14, 2019, Halle Herrington scored her 2,000th career points in an overtime loss to St. Joseph's. A three pointer to open the 3rd quarter put her in to elite company. Halle joins only two other Centre County girl's basketball players in the 2000 point club, and just one player in the Progressland area.
