DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAM
Philipsburg-Osceola School District has entered into Dual Enrollment Agreements with two colleges: Mount Aloysius and Penn Highlands. Students can earn college credit for selected courses that they take in the high school.
Mount Aloysius will award college credit for Calculus, Advanced Chemistry, Advanced Biology, and Accelerated Physics. Penn Highlands will award college credit for Accelerated Chemistry and AP Spanish.
In both programs, students pay reduced tuition and must maintain satisfactory grade performance. Students typically are able to transfer credit to a university. However, they should verify with their selected college about requirements for transfer for their specific major.
Philipsburg-Osceola also has a dual enrollment agreement with Lock Haven University. Students can take courses at the Clearfield Campus at a reduced rate. They can also complete web based courses through Lock Haven.
Please contact the senior high school guidance office for details and applications. Students must complete their applications by mid-October for Penn Highlands and by early December for Mount Aloysius.
