SCHOLARSHIPS, TESTING, FINANCIAL AID, AND STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES Bryan Gregory Ennis Memorial Scholarship Application - Applicants for this scholarship must be a senior planning to continue their education at a college, university, technical or trade school. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, grade point average, high school and community/church activities, goals/aspirations, and recommendation letters. Application deadline is May 25th. South Hills School of Business and Technology Rudy and Annamae Labor Memorial Scholarship Fund - Five $10,00 scholarships will be awarded to a current senior of past graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola Area. Eligibility criteria includes acceptance into a full-time degree program at South Hills, minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrates motivation, character, ability and potential. Deadline to apply is June 15th. Cynthia Edvar Scholarship - This scholarship is open to children of Centre County employees who are pursuing post-secondary education in the areas of social services or care of elderly people. Applications are available in the Counseling Office with a deadline of May 31, 2013. Financial Aid - Students may apply online for federal financial aid after Jan 1st at www.fafsa.ed.gov. StudentAid.gov is a new website that provides straightforward and easy-to-understand information about planning and paying for college. This site is fully accessible on tablets and smartphones. They have also launched a Twitter feed at www.Twitter.com/FAFSA and a Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/FederalStudentAid to offer alternative options to learn about the student aid process. |
