POJHS Cares is designed to promote students' educational success by encouraging and rewarding positive attitudes, responsible behavior and academic effort by the students at POJHS

 

The reward system is as follows:

                           Attendance: September 19-January 19; January 20-May 31

                                 5 coupons= 0 Days absence

                                 4 coupons= 1 Days absence

                                 3 coupons= 2 Days absence

     Perfect attendance 9/19 - 5/31=10 BONUS coupons

                                 3 coupons for making honor roll

     Academic Improvements: Second and Third Nine Weeks

                                 2 coupons= 3 % grade improvement/subject

                                 3 coupons= 5 % grade improvement or maintaining an "A"/subject

                                 5 coupons=10 % grade improvement or scoring a higher "A"/subject

                         Discipline: September 20-January 19; January 20-May 31

                                 5 coupons= 0 referrals

                                 3 coupons= less than 2 hours of detention

                                 1 coupons= less than 3 hours of detention

                           0 Detention Hours 9/28-6/4=10 BONUS coupons

                         PSSA Attendance: Reading and Math

                                 5 coupons= Perfect Attendance during April testing

                         Character Cards: Issued by staff

                                 5 coupons

                         Student of the week cards: Issued by teachers
