Congratulations, PMEA All-State Qualifiers: Emily Sanker, Chorus; Taylor Milliron, Wind Ensemble; Thomas Pelesky, Concert Band; Heather Wayland, Wind Ensemble.
Although the actual festival will not happen, the students completed the audition process and were selected to represent PO along with other top musicians from across the state.
Soup Monday was a huge success!
The POASD School Board and Administrative Team appreciate the staff supporting the community in this time of crisis. 179 orders of soup were donated and served to local veterans and senior citizens.
POMS students raised $3,938.60 for pediatric cancer during their annual Mini-THON.

Cat in the Hat visited third grade at Philipsburg Elementary to help celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday. He read his favorite book of course!
thirst project
The Thirst Project
Thanks to Kaleb Richardson and friends who wanted to raise awareness about the global water crisis, the Thirst Project, a Los Angeles based non-profit, presented at POHS. There will be a 5K walk and run on Sunday, May 3rd at the POHS track to raise awareness within the community.
Bucket Fillers!
Congratulations to Osceola Mills Elementary's bucket fillers of the month for January. These students go above and beyond to show they are safe, respectful, and responsible.
math counts
The POMS Math Counts team took 3rd place in the Centre Region on Saturday, February 1st.

Mighty Mountie Mentors
The Mighty Mountie mentors at POMS presented an anti-bullying program, Empowering the Bystander, to 5th grade students.
5th grader, Nora Burns, won the poster contest sponsored by Centre County Recycling and Weis Markets. Nora and POMS received Weis gift cards, and all POMS students received a calendar featuring Nora's work.
