Anti Hunger
Philipsburg and Osceola Mills Elementary schools held a competition this September during Hunger Awareness Month. Both schools collected over 2,800 cans of food which were donated to the Moshannon Valley YMCA's Anti-Hunger Program. Additionally, $558 were collected and donated! We are P-O Proud! Operation PE Victory
Captain Stewart and Sergeant Teat of the State College US Army Recruiting Company visited POHS gym classes to engage students in physical activities. The goal of Operation PE Victory is to promote physical and mental fitness while leaving a positive and lasting impact on students before they enter the community as graduates and adults.

Kai Thoma, read her essay “How to be a Good American” and won 1st place in the VFW District competition! She was honored at a dinner and award ceremony at Dubois VFW Post 813. They also awarded her for being the winner at local post 5020 (Osceola Mills VFW). She is now entered in the state competition in January! Congratulations, Kai!
