POMS Mini-THON
POMS students raised $3,938.60 for pediatric cancer during their annual Mini-THON.

The Mighty Mountie mentors at POMS presented an anti-bullying program, Empowering the Bystander, to 5th grade students.

5th grader Nora Burns won the poster contest sponsored by Centre County Recycling and Weis Markets. Nora and POMS received Weis gift cards, and all POMS students received a calendar featuring Nora's work.

Congratulations to Mrs. Miller on receiving a STEM grant to support the 6th grade coding program at POMS!
VFW
Happy Veteran's Day!
POMS student, Paul Dobo, won the VFW's Patriot's Pen essay contest for Grades 6-8, and POHS student, Paige Rishel, won the VFW's Voice of Democracy audio essay contest for Grades 9-12. Both students wrote and spoke about the topic of "What Makes America Great." They also presented their essays in front of veterans and their families during the VFW's Veteran's Day ceremony.

Attention 2019-20 8th grade students!

On Thursday, 6/25, from 4:30-6:30 P.M., you may pick up your 8th grade t-shirt! Come to the cafeteria entrance, and we will deliver to you. The T-shirt is a gift from your teachers. We all wish you the best next year!

Students may pick up their yearbooks at the middle school this Thursday from 4:30-6:30 P.M.

Please use the lane in front of the school, and we will deliver to your car. There are a limited number of extra yearbooks that can be purchased for $30 each. Cash or checks will be accepted.

Pick up of packets is in front of the school from 4-5 P.M.

Completed packets and school items may be turned in on the bus route and at school.

 

In addition, Grade 6-8 student computers may be dropped off at the middle school cafeteria on Tuesday, June 2nd from 4-6 P.M.

Another drop off will be scheduled later in the summer for those wishing to continue with Odysseyware and Get More Math.

Classes for credit recovery will begin on Monday, May 18th

and end on Friday, June 5th.

Online classes were set up by the teacher of the class failed and are in the online program Odysseyware.

Be sure to choose the class that is May 18th to June 5th.
